The owner
Hello, I'm Perry
I started Stour Garden Services to do landscaping the way I'd want it done in my own garden: properly prepared, neatly finished, and built to last.
From our base in Lower Holbrook I work with a small, trusted team across Suffolk and Essex. Whether it's a new porcelain patio, a fence and gates, or turning a steep bank into planted terraces, I'm on site, listening to what you want and giving straight advice on how to get there.
Most of our work comes through recommendation, and that's how we like it.
Our ethos
Craftsmanship you can see in the details
Built properly
Good groundwork, solid bases and tidy edges. The parts you don't see matter as much as the parts you do.
Natural materials
Where it suits the garden we use reclaimed and recycled timber, stone and native planting.
Honest & reliable
Clear quotes, good communication and a team that's pleasant to have on site.
Local roots
Suffolk & Essex, born and based
We know the clay soils, the coastal winds of the Shotley Peninsula and the planning quirks of village gardens. Working locally means we're never far away, whether for a quick follow-up or your next season's maintenance.
Peace of mind

“Perfect - couldn't be happier with my garden! Perry and team worked miracles, turning an inaccessible, steep bank into a series of planted terraces with gravel paths and steps at either side, all in reclaimed, recycled, natural materials. Perry understood how I hoped the finished garden would look and I had complete confidence that he would do a brilliant job, but he has completely surpassed my expectations. Everyone on the job couldn't have been nicer to have on site and their work was of the highest standard. Can't recommend Stour Garden Services highly enough.”
“Perry's work is neat, tidy and fast without cutting any corners. Keen to complete a contract in all weathers(!) and very reliable. Highly recommended. Thank you Perry!”
